Manual Wind Chronometer? Here’s one
Mahesh’s recent post on the giant Chopard Chronometer made the observation that there aren’t many manual wind watches with Chronometer certification.
I have at least 3 of these rare beasts (modestly sized). Here’s one that I happen to have worn today.

there were probably more manual wind Chronometers pre-quartz crises (particularly from obscure brands that no longer exist)
but in any case, it's great to enjoy the few that are still out there. My ref. 7002 says hi
In particular, the Blancpain caliber 64-1 was created from the Peseux caliber 7001 ébauche
which was a descendant of the famous Peseux caliber 260 which was designed specifically for observatory competitions. Blancpain upgraded the 7001 from a technical standpoint, but just as importantly, took the time to reshape the bridges in emulation of the Peseux 260

In the vintage universe yes, there were several, indeed. Especially till the early 60's.
He meant nowadays. The Blancpain is not in production anymore, right?

yes, Blancpain ceased production of the ref. 7002 sometime in the very early 2000's
...and based on the case numberings I've seen, maybe around 800 total were made (?)

True, true. Some are quite expensive... One I forgot is the superlative Chronometer from AP!

Love the Blancpain! Yours has a beautiful broken white/creme colour. Most others I see are very white. Yours looks the best.
