And when they now present something "new" and not RO, it isn't new. They have taken a design from 1960 and made it a bit bigger. Not an amazing degree of creativity in that....

The shot comparing the original to the new one undoes some of it for me - why did the reissue have to have a bout of elephantiasis? 🤷🏻♂️
But as always I would need to see it on the wrist to really decide 👍🏻

The vintage version is significantly nicer
When the nicest thing you can say about this watch is that it's not a RO, that's a problem...
Vacheron did an amazing job re-issuing the 222.

Unfortunately much too big
and much too tall. This could have been awesome if they had stuck to the original proportions, but again - a nice Vintage design butchered by contemporary market analysts that are afraid that small + handwound won't sell today. A look on vintage market prices tells me otherwise...
I rather like it. I feel the new version has full DNA of the original, but is modified for the times.
And as a small LE run? Why not? The case is really something.

Always wanted to say that, I love how that is a thing on certain watch forums... 😁 Aaaanyway, I got the call to come pick up my new ReMastered... can't wait. I feel like this watch is completely on brand for me, and I am excited that it is from a favourite brand.
