I consider it the best creation ever by AP...and the Offshore's pinnacle time up to these days ! I see a new AP customer generation coming in that should revisit and learn about this piece specifically and all its detail.
I feel honored to have owned its prototype and got it from the man himself after many races and some champagnes.
You know it as well or better than anyone. Admittedly, I did not love this watch from photos only.
Also, the tremendous hype when it came out, and not caring the slightest about F1 racing - it was easy for me to pass.
But when I saw one live many years later, the AP collector in me came alive. That is what it is all about.

The Absolute Benchmark for an ROO!
Since 1993, the AP Royal Oak Offshore has been a trailblazer in sport watch design. And of all the pantheon of stars from the ROO lineage, the RB II stands head and shoulder above everything. Thanks for reminding us what a privilege it is to bee able to experience a RB II in this lifetime, Michael.
