1/ Polaris II Red Dial because it is not the most beautiful watch on Earth, but it is the only one I miss to close my Vintage JLC Diving Watches collection.
2/ One of the 4 or 5 Vintage Fifty Fathoms I still hunt, for the same reason than for the Polaris II Red.
3/ Patek 3417 Amagnetic. Without plastic seals, please.
4/ Longines Big Eleven.
5/ A JLC Duometre. I miss mine in a terrific way.
Now, the outsiders:
1/ Reverso Red.
2/ Minerva Vintage Chrono oversized.
3/ Longines 13 ZN.
4/ Longines Chronometer.
5/ Tudor Monte Carlo, or 7922.
6/ Rolex 1019...
7/ Rolex 1675 Military.
8/ Rolex 1675 Underline Double Swiss.
9/ Omega CK 2042 ( Pilot Watch from 1938, time only ).
10/ Langematik Anniversary. Abnother piece I miss a lot.
Well, I still have many others, but if I succeed in getting half of these pieces, it will be an excellent year, for me.

for so long, the AP Royal Oak has been relegated to second or worst! to the PP Nautilus? And now there is so much interest in the RO "A, B or C" ? So many people, now, seem to really like the original AP RO, how come? Do you think that if the original RO would have been made by Patek Philippe, with the same mouvement "JLC" as was the original "Nautilus" the "PP RO" would have been an "Icon" long before the "AP RO"? I, personally think Yes, there are too many "watch collectors" who do not care about watches at all "they don't even wear them" but buy watches as an "investment" or a "commodity" and I think that this is very bad for the real lovers of watches. All this said, I am very happy to have a "B" series of the original AP RO, but love came instantly not because some friends told me that ......that girl is so pretty, ,if you see what I mean. Nico knows the story anyhow,

Wish-list for 2013....
My watch collection is like Swiss cheese....full of holes. I sit here contemplating what watches are on my wish-list and why some watches seem to stay on my wish-list for so long. It is a bit like being awarded "most promising actor" year after year after year. At some point, "most promising" needs to move onto star attraction. Having said that, if i had to nominate my top 5 watches for 2013, watches that would fill some of the swiss holes......what would they be?
In no specific order....
From vintage........
1) Rolex 1019 ..... black dial .....
2) Blancpain 50 fathoms..... aggghhhh
3) AP Royal Oak series A, B or C (i am not fussy)
4) Rolex 5512 gilt dial...probably 2-line
From modern
5) AP Royal Oak tribute..... i think i am falling for it more and more
The 1019 just keeps haunting me. I have been so close sooo many times. How many times did i turn my nose up at a Tournek? Aggghh. AP Royal Oak A, B or C...why do i fall for these only once they have become desirable!! 5512 Gilt..... I think I blame Bill for this. And the modern AP......I guess because I suspect I will not have the patience to wait for the one that is 40 years old!
I would probably add a Rolex 6610 red writing and plausible a modern GMT to that list as well as the awesome Red Reverso....but i did say just 5.
Anyone yearning for something in 2013?
We live in the middle of recession
and thus I'm very modest:
1. Patek 5131G
2. For my wife a new Patek for her 26th birthday. This watch I have reserved already
3. Perhaps something introduced in SIHH 2013
4. Perhaps something introduced in Baselworld 2013
5. The new 40th Anniversary Royal Oak.
But as said, it's recession and only #1 and #2 are on my final shopping list.

My list was wish with a lot of realism. Numbers 3, 4 and 5 represented wishes while #1 and #2 are taking all the cash I can place for watches. Probly even a bit more.

The AP RO (a,b or c) is thin, graceful while still being masculine. It just seems like it is a watch that could find itself in rotation. Watches as investments .... watches you can enjoy yes....

5402 is such a delicate territory....need a lot of luck and to watch out for them sellers...plus all the bracelet parts are finished at AP and really need to find a very good condition one.These days they can go for $100,000!!!!

Luckily the Zeitwerk is too big for me, but I remember trying the platinum version, something special, I never had the chance to see the phantom but I think it is one of the most desireable watch ever made by Lange, in your marvellous colelction that would be the one I would chase above all. Your collection is mainly my dream list actually

very nice of you....I agree on the ZW luminous but 2 cons;unfindable,too expensive(for what it is and for its collect ability).
But could it be worth the extra effort?depends on the live experience which sadly......I havent proved yet.

A propos hardy affordable watch, there is one in my list I would like to read your opinion about. Did you had the chance to try the Patek 5039 (perpetual calendar with clous de Paris)? I never had the opportunity this piece always strongly impressed me in photos.
