Hi, Folks, I like to share with you my lastest purchase, the newly released Grand Seiko SBGM009 GMT, a similar with cream dial model was released few years ago. This model has steel bracelet with black color dial; and it is priced about the same as the early cream dial model. Been wanting to wear this in the past few days but my Discus Burger is taking up all the wrist time.

Try looking through a GS with a 10X loupe and you will know what I am talking about. I can't remeber the last time I wore my L1 or PP. And for the not so popular Seiko Spring Drive models, I am a big fan of them. Here are two to share, hope you like them. Thank you.

on Seiko, here on PuristSPro.
Many of the Malaysian PuristS on a recent "educational trip to Singapore" also wore Seiko.

I prefer the new black dial on this GMT watch; one of my two favourite "complications" - so useful for travelling.
Thanks for sharing,

A 6217-7000 from the 1960s, waiting a new cities ring (if I can ever find one) and then a good servicing.

Seiko are great.

A few weeks ago I bought a German watch from a guy at a freeway off-ramp petrol station too!

GS black dial? Somehow I cannot recall seeing any other watch with a dial as black as the GS black. I have a worrying sensation my next GS may be a black dialed one!
Cheers

The only gripe I have, albeit a minor one, is that the text on the caseback would look better if it was done in a serif font and engraved deeper, rather than the laser engraving found on the watch now.
You have excellent taste by the way. ;-)

my wishlist has GS on it in big letters its just a matter of when i can afford one and in which order i want to complete the wish list. i love the gmt master style SBGM001, but might just end up with the SBGR031 as its a 39.2mm classic style. my burger has been on my right wrist for the last week. left wrist the week before.
isnt it great that within 6 weeks a lot of us have gone from wearing a wide variety of pieces and are now wearing burgers. do Seiko put some sort of sub conscious telepathic 'buy me' phrase in their adverts
if they do its worked on us.
lovely watch Jimmy
