I must say though Lord Arran as I know your fondness for complications I have always wondered whether or not you favor the UN Trilogy of Time.

from a normal yellow gold da Vinci I had, then guilded in rose gold and ever since looks splendid on the watch.

The Destriero is of course out of this world and wherever I go and wear it people look at it amazed of such beauty, particularly if I show the back of the watch with the tourbillon.

As to the trilogy of UN I not only admire it I possess it. The Astrolabe in two kinds of gold, white and yellow, the Planetarium in YG, the number 00 of the Tellurium in YG and also the Tellurium in Platinum bearing the number 00.

I have a (very bad quality) picture of the 3 watches I add.

at Nice airport and still miss them a lot.

The YG was one of the first 100 of the series with big digits behind, the WG was rather rare.

But I could compensate my hurt a little by buying the rattrapanet in RG and the Destriero Sciafusia.

5117, shown in catalogue I have from 2002/2003. Similar to todays 5115 with date and SC's.

Its a 5117g , discontinued in 2005 , 37mm and available in white , rose or yellow gold .

Dave, you are of course spot on about the 5115, but it has a cream dial and seems to be available in [your favourite] RG only. The date function on Chris'  watch, and the clean dial and WG combination, to my mind gives it just a fraction more 'wear-ability' without detracting at all from the classicism of the watch. Dave got me with his: now it looks like you've done the same Chris!
