Remember checking out that area on the way to Four Corners some years ago

Beautiful views, very long distances between gas stations. Many small towns with abject poverty and mostly Native American residents. Not formal reservations but 100% Indian none the less. Very eye opening concerning the folks who live in those post card areas. Best, Robert
Monument Valley is located within the Navajo Nation, the largest Native American reservation in the U.S. It is officially designated as the Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, spanning the Utah-Arizona border
Saw quite a few of them while in Paris recently, besides the usual GS & RTs. Years ago I was planning on renting a Goldwing in San Francisco for a US west coast tour in October/November but the shop owner advised against it due to risk of snow on some of the peaks. The wing is the perfect bike for those roads. Safe riding!
