As much as I like the Explorer, I would favor the one on the left, here. More Tiffany than an Explorer... ;)

Interesting that the 2555
By: Arronax : February 4th, 2026-10:44
has the Tiffany logo on top and the PP one beneath it. I would probably go 425, 2555 and explorer!

No hesitation — the “tegolino” — a new reference name to me!

According to Christie's,
By: quattro : February 4th, 2026-12:22
"The watch was nicknamed ‘Tegolino’ by Italian collectors because its rectangular shape resembled a popular sponge cake known as the Tegolino."

Thank you, Emmanuel. I came to the conclusion after a little sleuthing following my first response. I think it is the perfect moniker!

I always thought tegolino was a "little tile" but what do I know - def ref 425 for me

I think you're right:
By: quattro : February 5th, 2026-07:17
the reason why the little cake is called "Tegolino" is that it's reminiscent of a "little tile".
Apparently, "tegola" means "tile".
And Amsterdam Watch Co. makes the link between the tile and the cake:

Two notable learnings for me…
By: ArmisT : February 4th, 2026-13:50
1. I didn’t know that Tiffany double stamped Rolex pieces too🤔
2. I didn’t think Patek would be okay with their name being listed second on the last watch.

The 425 looks great on that strap
By: EinPA : February 4th, 2026-14:08
generally do not like steel bezels. For me they detract from the dial and case - the stuffed crust pizza of watchmaking LOL

I don't mind a steel bezel,
By: quattro : February 4th, 2026-15:43
but I like the 425 or the 2555 so much more!

Same for me Larry. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for that white dial.

2555 for me
By: TeutonicCarFan : February 4th, 2026-14:30
I love the case and dial color. And I love that it is center seconds. I’d actually prefer without Tiffany.

I also find this 2555 very appealing.
By: quattro : February 4th, 2026-15:44
And I agree that Tiffany is unnecessary.
But I just like the 425 even more.
