Salmon dial
I live in the Pacific Northwest, so I am always in the mood for salmon.
What is the most beautiful salmon dial watch ever made?
It's a difficult exercise
As there are so many different dial categories. Just like for cameras and being a bit tongue in cheek I will say the best salmon dial is the one I have in my small collection, the FM Casablanca. Supposedly the dial does not have any UV coating and will patina over time.

For me, it is undoubtedly this one!
I actually do not like salmon dials but this dial won me over and I think that is the ultimate test - if a salmon dial watch can convert someone who does not like salmon dial watches to owning one, it must be something special.
This Cartier 13 is wonderful!
But, for me, to reach the highest spheres, a salmon dial should feature a guillochage.
At least, that's how I like them the most.

For me the best salmon dials feature a guillochage
and I think my favorite are those made by Chopard (who, I I'm not mistaken, owns Metalem, the dial manufacturer) and Daniel Roth.

A bit of a shame they have become a hype brand as of late, they used to be reasonably affordable not so long ago.
The movements of La Fabrique du Temps
are clearly a step above the previous ones, imo, but I agree that the watches have become completely unaffordable.
But earlier examples can still be found on the secondary market.
Does any manufacturer match their date windows background to salmon dial color? You'd think at this price level manufacturers would not just grab off-the-shelf white background date dials.
