This Lucien Piccard watch was my first ‘big’ watch back when that trend was still a trend (as opposed to a norm). I don’t know much about the brand, but this piece stood out as a chronograph with its tough tank/block of steel look combined with a whitish MOP dial (not so evident in pictures). Anyway, the battery ran out and now It m wondering if I can easily change it myself or find a watch /jewelry repair shop to do it for me.
I know there’s experienced people on the forum like Cazalea who does it all the time. Is it as easy as popping the lid off the back and replacing with one of those small round flat batteries, or is there more to it?
My questions are:
1. How to pop the lid?
2. I will see what battery is there already, but is there a standard battery type/brand I should look for?
3. Finally, how to secure the lid once battery is replaced?
Thanks all!
