Omega have said that because they specified the dial and bezel were to be made from lightweight anodized aluminium, both elements will fade over time. Personally I love this idea, what’s your opinion.

...so Omega, like everybody else in the industry, justified their ever increasing prices over the past few years by the use of new, better materials that wouldn't fade with time, e.g. ceramic replacing anodized aluminum.
And now one of the reasons they give to justify an 80% price increase from the stainless steel / ceramic model to the titanium / anodized aluminum is the fact that the aluminum will acquire a patina?
Am I the only one feeling they're treating us like complete idiots?

I do realize that I came across in a very blunt way, and the idea was not to insult or offend anyone. You obviously love the watch, and have decided to buy it, so good for you and congratulations for the purchase (I actually rather like the watch myself).
