Two militaries in my collection over the years . . .
. . . but not simultaneously.
First, an Ω ref 2179, ca '45 . . .
. . . that was issued to the US military. This particular example was probably distributed thru civilian (meaning: war surplus) means, and unlikely to have seen combat. Gone to a friend's collection last year.
Shortly after its departure, the longing for a military model led to this acquisition:
Ω ref UK2292, ca '43. Similar to the ref 2179 in that it was produced to order for the British military. This example may have seen combat, possibly at 20000 feet.

They're more common than their stablemate reference CK2292 . . .
. . . which had solid stainless steel cases as opposed to the UK2292's alloy/stainless hybrid. I believe the more desirable CK2292s were exclusively RAF issue; not sure about the UK2292s.
