Despite knowing a lot of Gen Z will never own analog watches it is still fascinating that some of those kids cannot intuitively read an analog dial! Cheers, Filip

Well I would say I’m a gen Y ... growing up with gshocks I still felt a sense of cool being able to tell the time the traditional way... maybe it’s thanks to post man pat that I learned ... that’s the book that taught me

Some clock faces are badly designed and harder to read the time...
There was a clock that didn't have minute hashes and the "11" was very large (all the even numbers were smaller and the odd numbers were larger). So at 10:55, I read the clock incorrectly as 11:55, but then I realized that wasn't possible since it was too early to be lunch time (and I wasn't hungry yet) so I was able to catch my mistake.
Poorly designed clock faces can be the culprit! And not everyone knows why they can't read the time.
I have four kids, ages 19 to 30, and I recently realized the youngest two don't understand when I tell them the time is "quarter to eleven"
This seems profoundly confusing to them. When I tell them that means it's 10:45, they look at me like I'm speaking another language. Then I realized it's all because of how time is displayed on all their digital devices! As a digital display, they're so used to simply reading the time that way, any other way is just too confusing.
My quest this weekend is to find kids and teens in the family that can’t tell time using a traditional analogue watch face ... I get your kids brain freeze... more of a visual one... but on the upside your collection is safe 🤣😂 [nt]

I cringe at the thought that the next generation would trade a heirloom Patek for the latest easier-to-read Apple watch 
But there is app for analog clock on every smart phone ?!
