The Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue
While visiting Laurent Ferrier last February, I also tried on the Classic Traveller Globe Night Blue, ref. LCF012.G1.NGE10.
The white gold case measures 41 x 12.64 mm.
The center miniature painting of the continents cloaked in opaque blue enamel and elevated by intense specks of enamelled gold is truly beautiful.
However, I have to be honest: I'm not fond of the two apertures: date at 3 o'clock and second time zone at 9 o'clock.
Also at 12.64 mm the case isn't thin.
Here’s a view of the two pushers on the left side of the watch allowing the local hour hand to jump forward or backward in one-hour increments.
The micro-rotor Calibre LF230.02 is beautiful, with its guilloché rotor.
So, this watch is nice and I can easily understand anyone who feels attracted to it.
But it's definitely not a watch for me: I much prefer the simplicity and purity of the regular Micro-rotor or of the Tourbillon Double-Spiral.
But how do you personally feel about this timepiece ?

I think it very attractive overall! What really grabs my attention is the city lights shown on the continents, super unique and clever.
The earlier versions where much more striking.
This one is very subtle, maybe too subtle? To be honest I have not really formed an opinion even though I have seen it in person.
Windows I am less bothered about, I think that even though it lacks the purity of the early pieces, the traveler makes sense as a model line. If you have to choose one, yes I understand ...

I agree with you that this line makes complete sense.
It just doesn't sing to me as much as the classic micro-rotor and, even more, the classic tourbillon.
Matter of purely personal taste.

3-hand Laurent Ferrier are, as we all know, the epitome of elegance. Here, however, the window numerals that do not click over, but show 2 simultaneously, are almost ugly.
