The balance wheel of this CW watch spins at 28,800 VPH. Which might look a tad bit violent given its size and geometry, depending on the person. Yes - I realize I'm overthinking it! And for those who are about to say it looks okay on a YouTube video, please remember that videos usually operate on a 24 frame per second basis - meaning you're not seeing a true representation via video.
For quick reference; the Breguet La Tradition pieces (which also have a balance wheel on the dial side) spin at 21,600 VPH. I don't think the Breguet looks "violent." The larger balance wheel of the Le Tradition Tourbillon spins even slower at 18,000 VPH.
Exactly my thoughts… wish the balance wheel was larger and slower.
And no screw down crown on a manual wind watch.

I also have been waiting for the right opportunity to acquire a Tradition, so I will probably just wait to get that and wait for any further developments on the Loco theme while I happily enjoy my Bel Canto.

Dear breaker for me from the jump is the need for proprietary straps.
Next, even if the lugs were designed for regular straps, as seen with the Bel Canto there are reasons to wait as many other iterations of this watch are likely to follow.
All said this seems like a really compelling watch for the money👏🏻

Did you still get it? I'm going to pause and wait for normal lugs, all these proprietary straps are getting to be a bit expensive, and limiting. Plus i already have FOUR large books filled with straps, so am beginning to question my sanity ;-)

But even if there were no tariffs, there are a few issues that give me pause: the proprietary straps, the 30m water resistance with a screw down crown and a manual movement. The smallish balance wheel with a fast rate.
I think I will hold off to see what the future brings. A MK2 version of this watch with these issues addressed would be killer. Even better if they manage to combine the movement with the chiming of the Bel Canto! Now THAT would be a must have.
