It has finally arrived and I am assessing- need to make a decision tomorrow.
I’m in for the blue version. I like it a lot.
What do you think? Would you hit or pass? I’m the first in the line that have signed up.

Looks like Voutelainen’s shop

Impeccable and understated.

Kari’s Done a number of components and design for Urban. I think I read somewhere that they had subbed out their dial work and rose wheel work to Voutelainen.
Can someone else confirm this?

Although, for me, it would be a difficult choice between the Breguet Royale, Your watch, the Julien Courdray Sport, and the newst A Lange and Sohne. ODYSSEUS. I find them all beautiful and unique watches that try to do something different from what is on the market (in other words, Gerald Genta :P ) and I really like it. I especially like the hands, bracelet, and dial of the One. Thanks for sharing and excited for some more pictures and what you think of the watch. Hope you enjoy your watch in good health and wealth

Yes the One has the effect on you. When you see it you’re not sure and then it grows and grows and GROWS minute by minute. That’s normally how great watches work on me. The 15202 is still growing after 4 years of ownership.
I am convinced it is a unique and special watch. Need to sleep over it. But think i will pull the trigger.

For me, it’s a definite “no”. While I love the bracelet and movement, there’s something non-harmonious about the dial and hands with that case and bracelet. It’s like a weird dress-sports watch hybrid that doesn’t quite work for me. I do love the bracelet, reminds me of a GP Laureato, which I think it a great sports watch. 

However this UJ has got this “je ne c’est quoi” about it. I think it’s a winner.

but .... I will say that the Julien Coudray Sport is an amazing contender!!!!!! It is even crazier with a "bone" bracelet with classical roman numerals and classic hands!!!! (I just really love the brand and I hope that more people buy their watches as they are an amazing watch manufacture and I hope they continue in business )

Good contender. Roman numerals and super edgy and avant-garde at the same time. Not bad at all!

Last news posted to the site is 2014. All 2014 and hasn’t been updated since.

Is the brand alive and well?

It seems silly, but the it is important to maintain a fluid online presence. Just to say, “Hey my workshop is alive and busy. Don’t mind my old fashioned desktop optimized website, it is part of the charm.” Is there an Instagram account?

I have heard some updates from other sources but I am very sad that they have not yet updated their website. I really hope that they are still alive and hope that some people are buying their watches as they are a wonderful brand. I hear that they supply movements to other watch brands. If you buy their watch or know if they are stilll alive, please let me know!!! There is a facebook account and a youtube channel but both have the same issue. I am just really hoping they are still making their beautiful watches because I have not seen anything like them on the market. They are one of my favorite and maybe my favorite my favorite brand.

Love the dial. Great movement.
The case and bracelet read sporty but seems at odds with the dial. That would be my only hesitation.

But seeing the watch just erases all these apparent contradictions

I think you will. So different from the other blue dials out there. Very Voutelainen’ish I agree.

I am pondering the white dial.

However it’s still the blue for me, and I did get the white some serious consideration!

Tough decision, blue dial or white. I prefer it to the Odysseus, and, I suspect, it will be less common, as well.

They only produced 25 after the SIHH. They all sold out quickly-this must be the second batch.
Yes I like it a lot and paid the deposit today-will pick it up after the holiday. The relation between the round eye on the hour hand and all the round designs on dial, watchcase and bracelet makes it all very coherent.
I think the GMT is interesting too. Only comes in blue for now at least. You get an easy to operate GMT complication and keep the same case height.
