Freak today and yesterday……
My Freak has seen the most use this week. I had a chance to stop by UN Boutique in Stephen Silver (thanks Jeremy) and compare my watch with the latest Freak. The new one feels like it has lost a bit of “depth” in the movement - perhaps minimalist design influences? I felt that the old design has more presence for sure. What do you think? Here are a few shots….

I think your original Ulysse Nardin Freak One in gold with the blue is the nicest by a long way.
The dial colour as well as the use of the gold arabic numerals and just the whole look if yours is just much nicer IMHO.

The new ones have lost a bit of their character, indeed. The first generation is the one to get, with a few later ones.

The new Freaks, whilst having better wearability due to its dimensions and water resistance, lost a lot of the charm I associate with UN. I personally feel the “peak” in wearability and design were the Cruiser and Freak Out era. Love the anchor motifs used in the bridges. I will get a Freak one day and it will be one of those models.
