I find the term 'family watch company' very pseudo...

This notion of a family running things like a little shop.... when let's face it, this family is like England's Royalty is a family.... technically, a 'family' yes, but this notion of ordinary folks just like you and me... running their little shop.... whether technically true or not, I find very 'phony'. But I find the whole seal absurd, like many of us do, and I hope we'll never let Patek forget how absurd and phony it is. This message has been edited by Mostel on 2009-07-22 19:59:46
It seems like that little blurb about "THE SEAL" really lacks substance. What are the criteria for this seal and how does it differ from the Geneva Seal? They mention quality held to the strictes standards, etc., etc. it all sounds like fluff when not specifying what needs to be satisfied to earn this magical seal of approval. At least the Geneva seal is pretty clear with its conditions of satisfaction. Does anyone know if Patek has clarified its own conditions for the PP seal? If not, then how is this new seal any difference than just a brand logo stamped on the movement?
