Since threw the L&S Dato. in there in "Platinum"...that would be a dilemma for me as well ;-) I may lean towards Plat. Dato. (...and the above picture is a big reason why) You can not go wrong with either of the 3. Get the one that pleases you the most.
And the movement is just drop dead..., but the is dial just not there for me. Hate to say it, and I value the watch, but when it came to pulling the trigger I just couldn't do it. For me there has always been a consistent if subtle Patek "look" that as much as I might lust for another brand (and Lange is probably right at the top), my money always gets spent on the Patek. One day probably...
I haven't tried the 5070's so I can't comment on that particular model.
I believe there is a big differential in price on these watches, however, such that if you are torn between them the Lange would seem to be an easy (i.e., less expensive) choice (assuming money is an issue--if not, buy the 5970!)
If the 5970 gets mentioned, the Double Split comes into play too!...

... In which it would be a clear choice for me: the latter!
Other than that, I find the choice between cool German Feinmechanik (Dato Plat) and rosy Franco-Swiss joie de vivre (5070R) very difficult. Probably the 5070R.
I prefer the look, and the value of the Patek. Value meaning 5 years from now.... you will have a very sought after piece, but with the Dato.... it will be only so-so, based on the past up til now anyway. If that matters to you....
Am I saying the Dato is anything less than flawless and amazing in every way? No. It is all that.
If I had the choice, I would get the 5070 for now. I like the bigger size of the 5070 compared to the Dato. I also believe that the 5070 is harder to acquire then the Datograph.
I love Patek, and no doubt 5070 is and will be a classic. Leaving aside subjective matters, value wise we have seen 5070 doing better than Dato at least till now. And this is a Patek forum. But, I pick Dato PT among the three given choices simply because I like it the most. To me every part of Dato PT is perfect.
