Personal preference but I think it looks OK. The salmon dial and centre second is already a more sporty look. The blackened indices and hands, although not “traditional” for this style of watch, does stray away from the overall vibe it’s going for I think
I am very sad that Patek has increased the size of almost all it’s watches in the last years. There is almost nothing I would buy in the current lineup. If this or the 6196p were in 37 mm (the 6196 almost in 36.5 since it wears large) I would buy it in a heartbeat. The ones that should be 38-39 mm are now around 41 mm, and the ones that should be 37 mm are 38-40. No to mention the frying pan sized Cubitus pieces.
Case design eg 5070s wear much smaller than the actual 42mm due to the unusually thick bezel and claw like lugs.. another case is the 5711/12, 40mm but I feel it wears like a 38mm being lugless and having a thick bezel
wears smaller than prev 5227s as the previous ones had a thinner bezel.. I don’t have an issue with the size for this version, but I am more used to large watches
It's OK. I don't understand why Patek 'messes' with such great DNA. Not a whole lot needs doing here. Why the odd-shaped hands? They aren't quite right, are they, on a Patek? The movement, so, so, so pedestrian on such a watch. The date wheel in white... shrug... I guess it's fine. I do not like the glossy markers... are they also too long? But they may be better in person. I like case. There ya go. The case. I find this watch so unbelievably disappointing relative to it being a Patek, not as a watch in and of itself... I just... no. No. No. No.
