Women and men ask her about her watches, talk to her about their love of watches, laugh, have fun and share emotions. When I wear a watch I’m the invisible man! But that happens when she walks our dog compared to me walking the dog. LOL. I guess my wife actually knows how to really enjoy her stuff to the fullest and get other people talking and sharing.

I love it when my wife uses her watches. She even once got rid of the loupe on her datejust 😂😱

An ex girlfriend of mine was watch and jewelry seller. At that time I loved jewelry in this kind of style - lots of rings on wrist and fingers. She said, rather ONE piece unique than combining in this kind of style because it detracts from the main piece and therefore diminishes the perceived attractiveness. Well she has a point and I began to look at this from a different angle. She would have said, the rest goes to the other wrist… 🤩😅

On her other wrist was a super wide Tiffany rose gold ‘bone cuff’ and of course her B25 Sellier Gold/Gold. Not quite balanced financially but from a female’s POV, the Birkin gets all the looks - not the Patek! The ladies don’t care or perhaps appreciate the effort and expense to acquire the World Time but they keenly understand the discipline, expense and cruel process of corralling a B25 in their desired specific configuration. LOL

Wish there were more women like your wife. I could never put something on my wrist that could scratch my watch but to each their own and seeing people enjoying their watches and creating beautiful designs on their wrist combining them with other pieces is quite refreshing.

She gets people interested in the watch because of her kindness and softness. Which is quite opposite of me (and perhaps lots of men in this hobby) because I see each of the Pateks in my collection as a triumph of sacrifice that cost me a pound of flesh and as such I protect it like a family heirloom that someone might want to steal. She celebrates and shares instead…
So groups of ladies take interest and get to know about the Patek because to them it’s just an unusual addition to the typical bracelet stack that they know well. Ladies regard the World Time as a curious interloper that they don’t understand… it’s not a Rolex or Cartier - it’s something weird but beautiful and they want to know about it.  My wife was the sensation today with the ladies because every female and her sister understands usual suspects from Hermes, Cartier and Van Cleef… but what’s this pretty gold thing with the world map on it??

it is quite refreshing to see someone enjoying their watch to the fullest, which in turn brings people to talk about, get them involved and interested, your wife seems to have a great personality.
Alas I’m like you, my watches are important to me as I care about how someone polished that case for hours, so I try not to scratch it and enjoy it in its pristine condition, but this mindset makes it much more difficult to share the beauty of it with another person. I perfectly understand this but I don’t think I’ll ever change, so I’m glad that there are still people like your wife who actually know how to enjoy life, create something beautiful out of it and then share this beauty with others as if it’s something effortless and easy, even though you and me both know how actually hard it is for many people.

None of us guys would do it! LOL. Then again, very few people come up to us guys and tell us that our watch is cool. No emotions are shared, no stories are told and we walk smugly onward enjoying our treasures in private. Totally different styles between men and (good looking) women. The world is cruel!

Needless to say that I would be mad to see my wife doing this with my watch but I understand the situation it’s not yours but hers so of course it’s up to her to decide how to wear it 😉
