Is there anyone using the denim-look calfskin strap from the 5980/60g with this 5712g? This is a photo from an online retailer called omniluxe. It says "gunny strap."
Gunny straps is one of many aftermarket strap makers.
This particular denim strap is too distressed for my taste, but I do like the one that Patek makes.

I think the original Patek denim strap should look great on a 5712. Have just received mine from the Singapore service centre for my 5110p to tone it down and I love it 🥰
I know that this new strap is popular since the new reference was introduced...but...
(to me)....It's nowhere as elegant as pretty much "any" gator....
Agreed, it’s definitely not an elegant strap. Even for sporty, it’s a matter of taste.
This is the first time I've seen a Gondolo with a denim strap, and it matches surprisingly well.
