Thanks for the info and great images. If the definition of the lug reflects the overall case condition, your 2551 case is in superb condition! Interesting about Wenger, which is famously known for making most of the 2499 case

which also have beautifully channeled lugs. You might be interested (if you are not already aware) .... in Christie's Nov 2021 HK sale they sold a plat diamond dial 2551. In the Notes they stated that it was estimated that a total of 1,300-1,400 2551s were made in all metals combined, of which only 15 were in platinum. Very special watch you have!

ive been a fan of “heures brilliants”… a common aesthetic across many platinum 40-60s watches. and personally think the 2551 the peak time only patek case
The carvings on the 2551 lugs are shallow, so in many cases they get buried quickly as they are used, but your model (P?) has beautifully preserved the original shape! I think it is a wonderful and valuable individual.
