Lug width for Calatrava 5119 - help!
Purchased the 5119j. Need a replacement strap for my small wrist. The Patek rep told me the size is 21/16, but online on most sites I see "20" or even "20.3" for the lug width.
As I don't want to order and it not fit, does anyone know the correct lug width on this reference?
Well if the Patek Rep told you 21/16 it will be 21/16! However - was that „really“ a Patek Rep??
The watch has a diameter of 36mm right? So 21mm would be extremly wide!
I googled it myself and I think it‘s 20mm.
This is exactly my conundrum! Yes, I contacted Patek's main customer service number
and spoke with the manager of the Watchband and Buckle Department at PP based in NYC, who provided that info, but like you I am not finding that online. That's why I thought I'd put out to the forum. I am inclined to go with what the Patek told me directly but I don't see that info anywhere online about this reference.
As Markus recommended, if you have the watch with you then a good thing to do is measure the lug width yourself with any ruler or measuring tape.
+1 21mm is an odd measure (and hard to find) and seems very wide, simplest would be to take a ruler and do the job yourself !
I can't give you any measurements, all I can say is 'good luck'
Last time I ordered a strap for a PP, the retailer (granted, it was not an AD) had to re-do the strap as measurements were not quite 'industry standard'
This might be a trick from PP to point you towards their official straps

And I would be fine with that but because of the size of my wrist, they don’t stock my size and to custom order, they said it’s 4 to 5 months. Which means I can’t wear my new piece for that long!

21mm is a more modern
lug width. I would have thought actually 19mm on this reference.
turns out...I looked at the CF strap it came with and its 20/16. didn't realize some of the straps, and that brand in particular, include this information. would have prevented this entire inquiry! but there lies the answer
