Isn’t this the 40th anniversary platinum piece? Why isn’t the “40 1978-2016” stamp at 6 o’clock evident on the dial? Was that not included in the Tiffany pieces?
Hi Aymen, it is not -- interestingly, this is considered the "original" 5711/1P version, an out-of-catalog iteration reserved (for much longer that people would think...) to select collectors, and in production since before the 2016 limited edition.

The extra "T" signature is simply due to the AD that allocated this specific watch. As is probably well known, because of the special relationship between "T" and Patek dating back to the 1800's, "T" is currently the only AD authorized to co-sign a Patek dial. Recently, its NYC store has become the only "T" location with a Patek license.
Very interesting, I didn’t know there was a non-anniversary version.

Nor would I have guessed it to be before the 40th anniversary edition. Truly a beautiful and unique piece for only select collectors…with the T version being notably limited. Thank you for the details, Fab. And congrats to Patekfinity on such a special piece.
I am blessed to have been given an opportunity to own this reference. Since I wear all my watches, I happen to be in NYC and had HSWA take a look to make sure it it was in proper working condition. The representative there remarked how it was still running perfectly and even when I have not had any service since acquisition in 2012…ten years ago! In my mind, this is what differentiates a Patek 💯💙👍
Given your spectrum of PP models and materials, I would think you want the Nautilus line represented as well, unless you still waiting for them to develop something you really like.🤔
Thanks my friend, and yes, I initially also bought a Nautilus (waaay before the hype!), but soon passed it on to a dear childhood friend who enjoys it daily in Singapore :-) I'm VERY thankful though that my last 5 Pateks are all Rare Handcrafts! :-)

True, I recall now the Nautilus that you gifted to your friend a while back. as a

Certainly your current collection and taste for next-level artistic pieces are so much nicer and intriguing. I was just curious because you have an Aquanaut, so I wondered what of a Nautilus…but I see you had that covered.👍🏽
Thanks, like probably other collectors I'm not as much into sports Pateks anymore after starting to explore Rare Handcrafts....even if for obvious reasons, my one and only Aquanaut, a 5167, remains one of the watches I wear the most as a daily! :-)

PS: Even if I know I'm a wonderful friend and human being (), to be always honest it wouldn't be fair of me to say that 5711 was a "gift"! ;-) (No speculation either on my part, of course -- that will never happen with a Patek! )
🤣Nevertheless, I still make the case it was a gift…

because no way one would have been easily able to get that beautiful white dial version without premium, and I’ll bet that version wasn’t even in production any longer at the time you gave it away.👍🏽
That was indeed his first Patek, so I think I was a pretty nice friend..😁 BUT, no matter how much I love the guy, he knows that if he ever resells it for a profit, I’ll become a VERY bad friend!😂 (Of course, he’ll never do that either!😉) Cheers.
