Wow, you're one of the few people who thinks like me regarding Worldtimers!!
They are wrong 6 months of the year !! We nitpick about=/- 10 secs a day,and I don't hear many people raise the DST issue!

I guess one can get custom cities ring, but that does not fix the undelying problem. Once you live with no time adjustments, it sucks to go back. So I try to avoid any travels during those 2 weekends (and inevitably get to travel exactly then).

I m biased tho. I love the size and although the dial is "busy" it is still very balanced. Only down side is that it is difficult to read time with the small hands.

All watches have their characteristics and they especially have strength but also flaws. The latter often give a special taste to a watch (true for a car, in architecture etc...)
I would prefer the 5131R if I really had to choose because of the enamel work, the colors, the complication... I feel it is more unique in terms of craftmanship.
But the case of the 5575, the monochrome style is something I enjoy also in the 5575G. The only thing I would have changed is the technique used for the moonphase.

5131R!, although both are fantastic. The virtues of the 5131R have already been stated in this thread. The 5575 stands on its own functionally and aesthetically in a most alluring way.
In bright light, particularly in sunlight, the sky is mesmerizing. And under a loupe, the tiny stars are not shaped as dots, but as actual stars. And the moon is highly realistic and detailed. Plus, it is a limited edition piece which adds to the appeal.
BUT, for me there is one negative and it is not a small one. At night or in a dimly lit room, the dial appears dark and the unique and beautiful details are mostly lost. Also, for me it is difficult to tell the time.
So, yes the 5575 is a great watch, but if I could only have one it would be the hypnotically colorful work of art 5131R!

Tough choice... no right or wrong here
it really depends on what one would find most use for and also what is already in ones collection.
Personally if I did not have a 5131J, my choice between these two amazing pieces would be the 5131R. The colored gold case against the enamel dial is just superb. The moon version is very cool, but for a black dial white metal Patek there are so many choices. Ideally I would have an enamel world timer and a black dial white metal 5970P (or even better a 5370P). But in reality, any of these pieces would make most collectors very happy. They are really well executed done by PP.
