AMOC Event Encore (40 Pics)
Yesterday afternoon I attended another lovely Aston Martin Owners Club event at the Tam O'Shanter, the oldest continuously running restaurant in Los Angeles (since 1922). Among the 'usual suspects' there was a wonderful 1927 Aston Martin Sport, a truly rare sight even at special Club events like this one.... Ultimately, given the restaurant's proximity to downtown L.A., I had to pay a visit to the historic pueblo, the birthplace of Los Angeles in 1781 by a namesake Spanish explorer and founder Felipe De Neve........ Enjoy! 
It was easily one of....
the better events, people don't feel as enthusiastic about bringing out some of the particularly old cars to some events, so seeing the 1927 Sport, and the more obvious 1964 DB4 was a real treat! Anyway, our next event is seeing the Segerstrom Shelby museum in OC the first Sunday of March (if they agree to that date). You're more than welcome to drop-by, that's pretty much in your neighborhood....

Wonderful creatures on four wheels, mon ami. Even the " white intruder " is a piece of dream.

It was the first time I saw that 1927 car, a real piece of car history, he did his best to fully preserve it in its original state . As far as my namesake De Neve goes, I do find he was quite an attractive hombre, so your comment is greatly appreciated! LoL

Paul, the current owner of the car said he bought it relatively recently, but he wasn't the one who imported it from the UK. Perhaps a good question for when I see him next time. I still haven't fulfilled my lifelong desire to have an Aston of my own, but that's purely due to unfavorable timing over the last decade. I am totally confident it will happen in the next two years, and it's a toss between the second generation Vanquish and DBS, so I intentionally took a number of images of the two next to each-other.... The DB4 is my favorite of the lot as well, it is in evidently immaculate shape . The E-Type is owned long-term by our Club chairman John who also owns a DB5 in equally splendid condition as of my last sighting....
