It's a pretty clean California car. The previous owner did a lot of engine, suspension, and body work to keep it working and looking great; his intent was to take it to the track on occasion, so it's really well sorted from a performance standpoint. It has a Rebello engine with triple Mikuni carburetors that makes between 220-240 wheel hp on a dyno, new racing suspension parts, custom disc brakes all around, Momo Competition steering wheel, and 4 point racing restraints; I bought the Recaro seats and recently did a partial re-spray of the paint. I think the seats look restrained and period-correct for a car that is mostly used for spirited weekend drives (racing buckets would be a bit overkill). It's an absolute pleasure to drive. It feels much more like a modern racer than a 50 year old car, and it sounds amazing. I think the lines have aged quite gracefully, and one of the best parts about it is that it's not very expensive to own and operate (at least compared to other similar alternatives like early 911s), which leaves more money for watches.
All the work including by the previous 2 owners has been done at the Z Car Garage in San Jose, California; Rob Fuller and his team are simply the best.
Check out this video from Petrolicious, which has a similar engine, and it sounds like mine too.
