The watch is sublime but a judge-ly huddle had to conclude that a fist is too close to a wrist and a Technical Fault was called.

But I second the comments on the PPro ABR. New Purists should read back through the old posts and be impressed at the thought and work that went into it. An interesting design that continues to function perfectly and take many knocks. I used to baby it, but the PVD case is now the watch I wear went I don't want to 'worry'. ;-) It looks as good as the day it was delivered.

. . . category, as almost every submission was compelling in one respect or another.  I would include Marv, Jeff, Livius, Nilo (color photo), Andy, Davo, Tyler, and dreamer on the podium if it could be made large enough to accommodate them!  The image that most neatly reflected Nico's theme, though, in my humble opinion . . .

Your reasoning was almost predictable, Livius, given the number of b & w images you've submitted over the years.  Thanks for performing community service on such short notice!

Under normal conditions I would've agreed with Livius's decision, but given the acute circumstances, my choice goes to the same honoree . . .

All the PuristS in-house physicians and PPro ABR owners are counting the pulse and respirations on-screen as well as other clues.

As expected, the designation of the watch of the week has been very difficult.

When I saw the IWC Portofino 5251 in Hororgasm's post, I told myself that this was a good candidate.  This watch has held a strange fascination for me since the beginnings of the 2000s.

But then came the Jaquet Droz paillonnee . . . This is a rare gorgeous aesthetic watch.  How could I miss the opportunity to select it?!

And finally, after thinking a long time, I decided to come back to the subject of the week: Friendship watch.  There is one watch that came several times in the various posts.  This is the Polaris '65 (vintage or tribute, no big difference).  I also have a personal link with this watch. This is my Friendship watch of the week!

I'm in great shape, no side effects. Summary: I was very lucky to receive immediate care and, believe me, to be on one of the best hospital of this planet .

Today I will be doing a series of exams, going home tomorrow morning.

About my pic, I just could resist, as much corny it was.
