15 days of celebration!
The 1st day which always is the new moon is for the family and relative to gather it continue until the 3rd. Then on the 4th close friends will visit each other until the 15th which is the full moon then it end. The 15th day also serve as a chinese version of valentine day because the chinese believe the full moon bring 2 person together. Add in some odd celebration on the end of the 8th day when the clock reach 12am the Hokkien, the people originated from FuJian, China will prepare an offering to the heaven thanking god for the good fortune and hope for another good year.
