Hi All,
I know many of us look forward to the weekly WristScan thread and the quality of the images and the thought that goes into the compositions continues to amaze me.
Art, as Moderator, has previously undertaken the pleasant task of anointing a photograph as the forum masthead. In order to assist Art in this process, and of course promote some community involvement, I suggested a few weeks ago that Purists should vote each week for the masthead image.
So, on Saturday the Moderators will nominate several images upon which we can vote. The winner will have the adoration and respect of the community (but little else
) and of course the forum masthead for the week.
Sound like fun? Hope you all join in the voting.
Andrew
[Hi, all - we're going to give Andrew's suggestion a try. Please submit no more than three pics, and the length should be greater than the height. Wrist shots are preferred, but not required. Check back late Saturday / early Sunday for the poll. i'm away for several days and may not have internet access, but here's an old pic of a watch i'm taking with me.

i'm going to the seaside. if i get a chance i'll take some pics and post them.

Graham
...great vacation and weekend Graham, you probably deserve it
I will also go to the seaside. Our Summerhouse at the seaside. Also no internet connection (yet...)
Best regards
Hans
why the limited internet access...
However, my old mom is after dad pasted away getting computer lessons (no internet access yet)
Best regards
Hans
it was actually very simple. i put the watch onto a piece of thin ice at the edge of a lake so you can see the water underneath it. i then used photoshop to change it to B&W, changed some of the highlights a bit and that was it. its one of my best pics i think and i've taken 1000's.
if it wasnt my pic you were referring too then i apologise, but you got a free lesson in photoshop

i think i know the ad's you mean. it was just a lucky shot and a bit of a play, but i wholeheartedly agree, you should go out and buy an Omega
coincidentally, i went to the ancient city of Norwich, Norfolk today, the city i was born in, and had great fun finding a few AD's and trying watches on. this is something i lack where i am as you are aware. in fact we pretty much lack basic sanitary hygiene
i tried on a new Ploprof which was equally if not more impressive than the original and a Seiko Ananta spring drive chrono, also very very impressive and beautifully finished. i may post some pics when i get home.
as an even better coincidence, you may be aware that when i sell my house i want to buy an apartment in a city with a view of the water. Norwich is only 90mins by train from London, 25 miles from my elderly parents, cheaper by far than the south of england and has several very nice city centre apartments looking over the river that runs through the middle. there are also several in the newly renovated buildings that were the hospital i was born in. that really appeals to me, buying an apartment in the very building i was born in. 'going back to my roots' etc.

Plenty of rabbits, hares, birds, kangaroos and a lone fox that morning, but I rarely see wombats in the wild these days.
No fish either, but it was a beautiful morning to sit by the river and contemplate life.

I was passing Healesville, and just some clicks (say miles) outside the sanctuary did I see some small forest and a bunch of vombats around there. (However also a lot of Koalas and some Forest Kingfishers...What a peaceful moment...
