The disk shown in the upper half of the watch rotates to indicate the 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night (the tips of the sun and moon point to the hour) and the lower half shows the minutes with a retrograde display.

The piano is the personal instrument in the office of a well-known orchestra conductor.  And the chord is from the apostrophe of "Estranged" from GnR.  What a night that was...
