I suppose it’s my driveway equivalent. I don’t have one of my own!
I know, I’ve been thinking very hard about it. Now I’m driving trains I should have a Railmaster. Only problem is, I really like the larger movement with two barrels! I’m a really sucker for a nice movement. And George Daniels himself was pleased with the double barrel and co-axial escapement. Gah!
1997 Carrera S. Last of the air-cooled 911s. Ocean Blue exterior. Cashmere interior. Factory Motor Sound package. Supple leather option. CD hi-if option.
As far as I know they’re not even naturally aspirated anymore! Perhaps a god pair would be last air cooled and last naturally aspirated... one can dream.
Indeed, my C2S is the last air-cooled, naturally aspirated, 2 wheel drive 911. Arguably the pinnacle for that purist combination after 30 years of development. I think that's why these have caught the eye of collectors. Also, not too many made. I think the number is only about 1600, and many of those have not survived, at least not in good condition.
