Dear enthusiasts,
with a little delay here´s our contest!
With kind support of A. Lange & Söhne,
10 wallpaper-size calendars

What´s your favorite 2009 new introduction by A. Lange & Söhne?
- reasons for your choice not required, but much appreciated
-
Hint: Following threads starting with (press release) or (Lange news) will lead the way to all new Lange models, as well as checking the Lange official website
As you see, a fair chance for all new and old Lange fans!
Finally, the time frame:
The contest starts today and will end March 25, 2009, 00:00 (Glashütte time).
Good luck to all of you and let´s hear your votes!
Greetings from Germany,
Peter
This message has been edited by PeterCDE on 2009-03-25 21:53:29...the Richard Lange "Pour le Mérite." I think it encompasses everything that Lange stands for: impeccable craftsmanship, elegance, functionality, and beauty in design and execution. The three-piece enamel dial is luminous and legible, and perfectly balanced by the blued hands and red numerals at the 15 second intervals. The fusée-and-chain mechanism is gorgeously finished, should be very precise, and is a technical marvel. Lange succesfully leverages the techniques of modern watchmaking to execute a timepiece that pays homage to what is best about the mechanical watches of yesteryear.
Cheers,
Daos

I believe that the calender that is to be given away is similar to the one that I already have, so i'm not in this for the prize. I prefer to give the opportunity to own such a marvelous goodie to another fellow Lange PuristS.
As for my reasons for choosing the RL PLM, simply said it is the upgraded superlative version of my current favourite Lange watch which is the RL. The accuracy of this watch is phenomenal already in itself, yet from all the reports that i'v read, the PLM is supposedly meant to be even MORE accurate than a tourbillion, and probably the "base" RL. It's incredible just thinking about it, and being the super accuracist, I believe this is truly one for the ages for me!
Cheers
Stephen
The new movement for a re-designed 1815, the esence of Lange in the the dial, case, and movement, longer power reserve, improved balance wheel, 40mm case, what's not to love? True, the PLM is a marvel, but it's out of my reach. ;-)
Best,
Jed
Just because it's pure class.

There are some beautiful novelties in 2009:
RICHARD LANGE “Pour le Mérite”
The New 1815
LITTLE LANGE 1 MOONPHASE
and do not forget the DATOGRAPH PERPETUAL (Whitegold with grey Dial)
In the past my favorit was Lange 1815 und now I like the new 1815 also.
Greetings from Germany,
LotharWithout any hesitation it is the new 1815 in any form. The reason is simple: we have a global recession and these simple Lange models offer the best value for the money available. During these times an understatement wath is the only sensible purchase. It means that if I should put the new 1815s into some kind of order, it would be:
1. WG
2. Platinum
3. Coloured gold
Regards
Hello
My favorit was the Richard Lange PLM

A Simply stunning watch!
once I see the new 1815 in the metal... the saxonia may go.
Thanks
Robert
They are all very nice especially the Datograph Perpetual but for me, what moved me at first glace of all the new releases and stll does is this piece of art.
Although I can never buy it for my own wearing pleasure, to me, the choice of the blue mop, the setting of the diamonds, choice of strap comes together in a very very tasteful and beautiful manner. One that catches your eye but in a subtle, not overly loud manner and most importantly for me, in a manner that doesn't tire easily.
Sure its not the most complicated when compared to the Dato Perpetual but this to me, can stand as one of the great testaments to Lange's class and finish.
Just my opinion of course.
The Richard Lange Pour Le Merite. For its understated elegance and beautiful dial in Roman numerals....
