Say hi to Hans for me. He does a great job!

I have tried it and find it unwearable even though my wrist can take the diameter, thick and extremely top heavy - those are the real challenges.

A masterpiece, unquestionably. But in the pocket watch category ...

You should definitely try it before buying. But to give you an idea - it is substantially bigger than double split for example.

He has to ask his tailor to alter all his shirts for the left side to cater for the watch because it's not going under the cuff smile)

not a dial meant for easy reading regardless of its fancy innards...

my first impression is no, too chunky, too expensive

Too big, too chunky, difficult to read, in my opinion.

IMHO a bit too big and too busy

I never understood this Richard Lange layout

I see the artistry in it, just not the practicality

I was lucky enough to see it once.

It was very, very, VERY impressive. And a “monster” regarding size and weight. And I had to try hard to read the time and think I would have to practice to get all the informations when just taking a quick look at the dial.

A couple of questions ...

 By: diracpoint : February 5th, 2022-22:03
(a) Is this an "instantaneous change" perpetual calendar? i.e. do all the indications change exactly at the same time?
(b) And, if so, does the change happens precisely at midnight when the second hand hits 0? (i.e. like the Zeitwerk date)

It's incredible to see in person. I sort of "sold" one (not mine) to someone once.

I was in a store with an acquaintance who was ambivalent. He was asking me what I thought, and it actually looked okay on his very large wrist. He pulled the trigger while I was there. Not sure how long he kept it, though.

Personally, I dislike subdials with significant overlap, so even if it were smaller I wouldn't really like it. But of course, we all have different tastes.

Let us know what you decide!

To me

aside from being way too large and heavy for most people to wear comfortably and not knock it into everything, the regulator dials overlap which makes it very difficult to tell the time at a glance. Obviously, a superb masterpiece, but a watch to be enjoyed on occasion by holding and admiring but not really wearing.
