It is funny to see how this Breguet can be worn in a dressy way, or like this, for water activities.

After much deliberation, am seriously considering picking up this one (5817BA/12/9V8) in Yellow Gold. I was also looking at the Chrono (5827BB/12/9Z8) option for the Marine. I needed to know -
1. Assuming that you have handled the Chrono, how do the two compare? And any reason for specific preference?
2. Is there a significant difference in the sizing of the date between the 5817 & 5827? In pictures, the date on 5827 looks much smaller.
3. Can the strap be switched over from Rubber to Leather with ease?
4. How accurate is the watch?

I have not handled the chrono so i can not speak for it  the same goes fro strap changes.  I love the rubber strap and the big buckle.  The lugs on the way watch make it feel much bigger even though it is 39mm.  I swim with the watch and use it as my go to sport chic watch.  It also wears well with a suit.  From the accuracy point of view justpen ran some amazing tests here are the results.

For me the 5817 is a winner of understates elegance that I never tier from.

Appreciate your immediate response. Your inputs and the link to Great Race will help me immensely in making my choice between the 5817 & 5827. My initial go is with the 5817 - an understatement, perhaps, but looks stunning. The accuracy is pretty unbelievable too.

How do you know when you are fully would up.  The watch stills seems super accurate in any case.
