Saw this at the AD today. Such an elegant and discreet piece of haute horology ! Even the date doesn’t bother me as much as I thought it would. Somehow the quirky shape of the date window and the effort to make the date window’s background similar in colour to the dial makes me accept it. In fact these days I start to appreciate watches with (readable) dates as I find the function useful. I know Nico would disagree for sure lol :p
It’s not an easy watch to capture on pictures. I only managed to take 1 shot which I like but even then , the blue is not really in this hue (some orange lighting in the boutique distorted how it looks on a photo).

Same sentiments. Even though I can accept the date and appreciate its function, I can’t deny the Ginza no date version is even better looking ! Cheers Robin
I've always been impressed by this 5177 dial but never had a chance to see it in the metal (always the best, if not the only way to fully appreciate enamel!). Thanks for a great closeup ;-) [nt]
