Your 1894 is beautiful, Art!
Jan 01, 2022,02:05 AM
I’m very happy to see you enjoyed a great 2021!
On my end, I too got lucky with a couple of finds.
A 1675 two tone that had been on my radar for years, but it wasn’t until now that everything fell into place.
And, a 16800 which came out of the blue, that has become my daily over the past month.
Happy New Year,
Alex

. . . productive. Sometime in January an 1894 came up on eBay. Our Count de Monet bought one the previous year on my recommendation, and then Esharp followed suit, so when a reasonably priced blue enamel 1894 sourced in Japan popped up, I just had to have...
That 1894 is gorgeous!

My 2021 was not as adventurous as yours in terms of watches. First up in July, this shows-up at the boutique: A few days later, I was gifted this cool T-shirt: Then, early October brings this surprise: Followed by this titanium IWC at the end of October: ...
In a sea of hype this year

This may be one of the most stunning watches I have seen... to go with your top collection. Do you use a local person to service? I have an old omega I wouldn't mind getting checked out. -kevin

Buffalo, NY. There actually is a small watch repairman I had open it up and look at when I got. Unsure how 'good he is. I've had maybe 10 years now. Worn few time a year with no issue. Wind maybe every 2 week.. ...
Working on two projects at the moment . . .

. . . though only one will come to fruition in the near term; the other will have to wait 'til later in the year, or even next, depending on circumstances. 🤑
Hope you’ll get the call from Mr White, Dr No….

2021 for me has been unbelievable. It was slow initially with Snoopy 3 in Feb and then after May, the stars became aligned and things start coming. Some watches are for the Boss and most can be shared. This is also first time I have other new brands like ...
Hey, that's a highlight reel . . .

. . . and then some, CC! Gotta slow down this coming year . . . there's either a vintage Speedy Pro or a ref 2410 chronometer coming in the foreseeable future, and what doesn't come soonest comes next. After that, though, I don't really have any targets. ...

It was released in 2010, many collectors doesn’t seem to like it back then because of the off balance sub dials. Today after their FPJ CBs, people now accept this 😊 Thanks for your kind words and HNY Christian
I concur with IWC

My heart is full, Alex! Glad you found two grails . . .

. . . in one year. The 1894 had been a grail for quite a while but then fell off the radar, only to re-emerge a few years ago. The black ref 2657 with rose hands and markers was also long-coveted; I'd seen one before, but that example was capped in rose g...

. . . nada ?! I admire self-discipline and fortitude, but this goes beyond normal endurance. Don Turo will investigate and propose a solution. Cordialmente , Turo

Pretty bad outside of that. I really miss all the travel I used to be able to do for work and bringing out our intl team etc. Hoping 2022 kill COVID.
My only other watch purchase of 2021, next to the 1894
By: COUNT DE MONET : January 1st, 2022-12:10
Our dear Fx introduced it first, but I missed that post. When Nico re-introduced it again, I fell for it head over heals 😍. Super accurate 80h inhouse movement, jumping minute hand and a correct scaling on the dial ☝! In short: a superb chrono. Here the 1...

You must send photos when you receive the Ed White (front, and especially back)!!! HNY for 2022! For me it was acquiring the Tudor BBB, Seikos, Tissot, and 5960P. I think there was a correlation with the amount of pressure in 2021 with the amount of watch...

. . . from the Omega boutique! It's going to be a holiday of sorts around here when Ed arrives ;-) . . .
Certainly will be.

Might even be in time of Christmas, though I am sure the holiday will come sooner than you think.
