I agree on what you say, they may bear scars but we love them, that's why we have them.
It has happened to me several times that I find an old battered watch, but I can see in my mind how is it going to look with a nice cleaning, a
service, polish of the acrylic cristal, a new strap, and then I go for it.
I'm happy with my watches, but now I think it's time to start saving for more "important" (not to say expensive) pieces,
but you never know when a lovely beaten up watch is going to show. Maybe a vintage Polaris, a 1680 red, 5513 gilt
