I think this is a nice find. I went looking around for the first time with a watchmaker friend who insisted that I do some looking around, and we came across this one. It looked good, and my watchmaker friend verified that it looked authentic. After some discussions with the seller who agreed to a refund if we found anything amiss in the first week, we agreed on a deal. The strap was broken, and the time was running very fast, but my watchmaker friend is taking a look at it now and thinks it it easy to fix, so it's going to be all good. I will get some wrist shots when it's back from the workshop and I have a new strap fitted.
The movement looks very good still and I'm impressed with the swan neck fine regulation on this one as I never expected it. Then again, I know next to nothing of vintage movements and watches - this looks to be my first!
Any idea on the time frame of manufacture of this one?
