. . . on the break cue he's making for yours truly. Solid purpleheart handle with red palm forearm and butt; the shaft will be made from granadillo, a South American hardwood, contrary to the notation on the build sheet. On my wrist? The great-grandfather...  

I particularly like the purpleheart handle.

. . . so the purpleheart handle is in actuality a visible part of the core. This type of construction is especially suited for break cues, as the whole section is really just one piece of purpleheart wood without any breaks in it. Most of the playing cues...

. . . and I'll take a photo of the shaft next time. The cue is made from one piece of purpleheart wood, usually sourced in Guyana. The red palm forearm and butt are hollow sleeves slid into position on either side of the handle. Art
