Very rare to find one of these with its original box! I've seen quite a few with papers, but not with that box. What a wonderful addition!

I love these watches. Back in 1999-2000, when I lived in Washington DC, I used to meet up on occasion with Bill Sohne (a former moderator of this Forum). Bill wore a Marine Chronometer on his wrist one day, and I became obsessed immediately upon seeing it. I decided that it was one of the coolest watches I had ever seen, even though it was way, way too big for my wrist, and I knew I'd get one someday. About 5 years later, I started looking for the cal 1511 and 1516 pieces, and then the 1510 and even the 1525 clock. I'm afraid to keep batteries in the Marine Chronometer watches because Omega won't service them anymore due to lack of parts. So maybe once a year I decide to wear one to an event and put a battery in it.

Again, congrats on your wonderful acquisition!!
