Who's wearing an Omega . . .

. . . today?

Ca '43 ref 2242, 18 jewel 30T2SC.  Not chronometer-rated, but rare enough that Erich included a section in his Omega tome about this rare movement ordered by the Canadian military and the Brazilian agent, as well as a few others (notably refs 2337 and 2423).  There are shock protected versions, but mine's an earlier model without.

The extra two jewels are on both sides of the center wheel . . .

. . . and are clear.

... though today Wednesday I changed for another Speedy vintage I will share as soon as I can make some shots. A recent lucky catch I had been hunting for long time. I find the blue dial Moon Phase one of my favorite modern renderings of the Speedmaster. ...
