Always had a soft spot for the understated appeal of the AT and I like blue. One thing that has always been a minor concern is the polsihed bezel seem to be a real scratch magnet, I wish they would offer a brushed finish or some harder material like rado....

The green was in consideration as well, a tough choice but I ultimately decided to go with the blue for him. A very nice boat you have too, hopefully we all have a great summer ahead of us if covid gets under control

I never got the chance to get my dad a gift. The year I started saving for a Rolex OP for him, was the year he went away. I wish all sons will get their fathers a nice piece.

I wouldn't worry too much about missed opportunities for expensive gifts. Watches are great, but there are far more important things in life! Regardless, I've been very fortunate to have great parents so I'm happy to splurge a bit more than usual for this...

. . . even more than the gift. The one time my Dad was moved by any gift was when I gave him a watch. I'll never forget the joyful look on his face at that moment. Months later he returned it, saying he never had an opportunity to wear a really good watch...
