Eye wear?!?! Why? Will you buy one? Price almost 2x of a Tom Ford, LV or other well known brands. I’m a bit worried for such “diworsification”, coined by the famous Peter Lynch, not sure what members think, now I’m really clueless 😅 ...  

however, in my small circle of friends, I don't see a lot carrying Cartier handbags, belts, etc...jewelries yes.

I know they are a fashion brand, but Kiton makes sunglasses just above this snack bracket and they really are of the highest quality. No cooler than a trusty pair of Ray-Bans though! But the quality is there and I suspect, or maybe hope for their sake Ome... 

the only place we don't do that is for watches i guess ;-)

Would I buy one? No, as you can get glasses of Highest quality Level sunglass brands for that price. They maybe introduced the glasses to give them to you for free when buying a really expensive watch at an omega boutique, as they won‘t give price reducti... 

...I love gadgets and collectibles (in fact, I use Patek glasses a lot!), but they have to be free. In my view, it would look nicer of Omega if they just offered them as a gift for their good clients, without showing a $1k price tag on the website😎 ...  

and use it to make potential clients buy watches later

Own a lot of sunglasses...have a boat out on the water all the time. I an repeatedly disappointed with MJ’s...love the style but IMHO the workmanship sucks and the optics are OK but not as good as Oakley (try for yourself side by side) which IMHO makes a ... 

I have used and owned sunglasses of different brands for over 40 years. At one point, I was sponsored by Oakley during my youth as a competetive golfer and tennis player. I have owned almost EVERY model from their sports line and EVERY lens they make from... 

my problem with MJ is almost every pair I have has either broken or fallen apart and customer service was unwilling to repair without a substantial fee (which really ticked me off) or they don’t fit quite right (fall off my face when I look down) but mayb... 

If you are looking for a more durable frame, maybe try the acetate frames such as the Island Time, Peahi, etc... I have 3 pairs of Island Times with 3 different lenses and they have held up to ANY abuse I have given them and trust me, I have done extreme ...

By far the most comfortable sunglasses I have tried on or owned... other experience is with Ray-Ban... I wont spend over $200 for a pair of sunglasses as i beat the them up really bad and have lost several pairs of sunglasses even as an adult!lol As for t... 

It's part of a broader strategy to achieve two objectives... 1. Make Omega a lifestyle brand. Omega has been diversifying into pens, keychains, small leather goods, and leather bracelets. This is good, to leverage the brand. Tag Heuer had a line of eyewea... 

And it make sense but also I’m worried about brand image because this is important. I don’t remember Mont Blanc as a watch brand than a Pen brand, similarly for Cartier or Chanel, LV, I remember them as luxury goods even though they are expanding their wa... 

I remember collecting Montblanc pens for 20 years and 20 years ago they were very much a pen brand. But the pen industry was declining. Revenue was falling dramatically. They had to supplement the income with something else. They placed huge emphasis on w... 

I think “lifestyle” branding is extremely important but also extremely difficult to pull off. Omega is raising its game and rightly so. That is why I think the price is right even if they don’t sell a single pair. The sunglasses look great and I might be ... 

Because it’s dependent on what they’re famous for, to begin with. Do they have nice watches? Yes and then some but not stellar. Omega is a watch company and I hope they do what they do best, just me.

Know, Omega sell cufflinks and rings, belts. Some watch brands do wallets, perfume etc. Bvlgari have hotels.

I don't think the name itself effortlessly translates to something stylish. I'd easily associate the name Omega to something technical or industrial. For example, it would seem easier on the senses to see the Montblanc brand / log on, say, a Ski jacket ra... 

Just like Rolex....no need to have many fancy complications. However, advertisement and marketing plays a key role in changing people’s mindset. Who knows someday, after seeing it for a prolong period everywhere, I will buy a pair 🙄
