Also what I do appreciate with vintage OMEGAS is that they don't draw attention and that remain discrete.Fact is that Omega vintage is relatively affordable compared to other brands. Since 2006 when Rolex went with wider cases, the brand has lost some of its finesse.I can wear maximum to 44mm but with the new sub and more with the new deepsea sea dweller, it is like wearing a portable hammer on the wrist.I also remember a discussion when I had at FAM (forum à montres) GTG many many years ago. Some people wondered why I didn't have a Rolex, I told them that I was and still am a modest collector and that there are several other significant watch brands to collect and which offered much more interesting and rarer pieces than Rolexes.I hope that I will meet some day other French Purists at a GTG.Rolex vintage and pre 2006 models are the way to go but I will have to hunt hard to find one at a decent price, I am not going to pay premiums just because a dealer wants to make some profit on my back. Some people make credit to buy their watches, I don't and never will. I prefer to buy right when I have the funds, the right opportunity and of course at the right moment.

I love when Maisons focalize all their attention on the tourbillon put in a prominent position. A stunning example is the MB&F HM7 Aquapod. Best.
I have never seen the HM7 in real but I could imagine its huge dimension. I agree with you that it has a very small wearability.

Yes, in my opinion Rolex will lost more and more buyers among collectors because as watches aficionados they know other brands, surely more interesting and do not want to pay absurd amounts of money (yes, for me Rolex's prices are becoming just crazy!!)

Vintage Rolex prices will raise more and more so if one wants a vintage Rolex he should in my opinion buy now because although prices are not low they are still human. In some years we will see those still affordable raising to absurd prices.
