Omega

The leviathan Graham . . .

. . . and Melvyn (twice!) owned was really a different genus, Nilo.  The manual winding movement in that iteration was derived from a Unitas 6498 ébauche.

I was extremely close to getting one of the 36 mm versions . . .

. . . which was a perfect fit on my wrist.  I held off at the time over seesawing between this and a Grand Seiko, plus a few others (including the Milgauss), but ended up committing to the Zenith New Vintage 1969 instead.  As it turned out, the Zenith departed and a Grand Seiko entered, but I still have a hankering for a Rail.

Now that Omega has produced a fitting movement, and could conceivably issue a manual winding calendar-less movement, I'm content to wait until a third generation is unveiled.  I'm betting on next year!
