Omega

This has been a confluence of events - some time ago I have entered into a gentlemen's agreement with Nilo that I shall purchase an Omega finally. At the same time my father just turned 70 today. And as he used to work in the US in the 70s for a civilian ...

He certainly deserves the moonwatch! As to choosing the moonwatch, I think you did the right thing. Like you, I also got a moonwatch after reading a lot about Omega Speedmaster. Certainly you can't go wrong with this one.

I was thinking long and hard but the market for relatively high end quartz watches is somewhat limited... I hope he will be as happy receiving and using it as I will be giving it

my mother has just become 65 last week . As a real purists you can guess what present i have given her 😉

But very curious as to what specific watch you went for (if not a secret). Thanks a lot, Watchonthewrist - I hope he will wear it often

A great present, for sure! IMHO, the Speedmaster is a world apart... when you use it everyday, many, many other watches loose something compared to this humble "sacre monster"! All the best and congratulations for the choice massi

And for the views - I hope my father will rediscover the pleasures of daily winding again. I mean he has around 60 or more mechanical clocks he needs to wind every week, so...
