I have to admit that until I saw it in the auction catalog I had never seen one either. That is part of what drew me to it. It wasn't until after I had purchased it that I started researching it a bit on the internet. I managed to find pictures of a couple of other examples, although none with both the day and date.
While it isn't in my regular rotation it does get some wrist time.

I've never seen one before, but i can see where it is placed in the Dynamic range. Possibly one of the last models as tastes changed away from the Oval 'space age' models back towards more conventional shaped watches. Enjoy it and dont make it a stranger ...

According to the serial number on your movement it is in a 1974 number range. Best Thomas

I'm pretty sure that mine has a 1022 movement. Might the difference in movement number (1022 vs 1012) reflect the addition of the day function? I like the starburst design on the top of the case of yours.

If you hadn't mentioned where I could find the bracelet it might still be on the original strap. The sources I had previously tried proved to be futile. I was almost to the point of buying a reproduction off a popular internet auction site!
