An unusual Omega Dynamic
I've been meaning to post about this watch for a while. I purchased it last year at an auction. In the auction catalog it was listed as being manufactured "circa 1970" although I think this was incorrect. I have found another Dynamic with the same case and general dial in a 1976 German catalog, although the one in the catalog was "day" only not "day/date" like the example I purchased. I've seen lots of oval shaped Dynamics. This is the only TV shaped one I have encountered in person.
A nice signed crown:

When I bought it it was on a leather strap with a signed buckle. Thanks to Mrsnak for pointing me toward a vendor who had NOS bracelets. When I ordered the bracelet I also ordered a replacement leather strap.
Here are a couple of pictures of the movement I took before having it serviced by a local watch maker. I believe it is a 1022 calibre (if I'm wrong let me know):
All in all, a bit of 1970's fun that I just couldn't say "No" to.

I have to admit that until I saw it in the auction catalog I had never seen one either. That is part of what drew me to it. It wasn't until after I had purchased it that I started researching it a bit on the internet. I managed to find pictures of a coupl...
Thanks Nilo

I'm pretty sure that mine has a 1022 movement. Might the difference in movement number (1022 vs 1012) reflect the addition of the day function? I like the starburst design on the top of the case of yours.
Thanks Kurt

If you hadn't mentioned where I could find the bracelet it might still be on the original strap. The sources I had previously tried proved to be futile. I was almost to the point of buying a reproduction off a popular internet auction site!
I want one of those!

What a fantastic looking watch! And thanks for making me aware that this design exists... I am now on a hunt to find my very own. Do you mind me asking, how much did you pay for it, or have you any idea of its true market value?
